Today a new court hearing took place, in which they are trying to recognize our organization as “extremist”. As we told earlier, the so-called “criminological characteristics” appeared in the case materials — a document from the Nizhny Novgorod Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, presented as one of the key pieces of evidence.
In response, we prepared 112 questions for the authors of this “work.” But the “experts” chose not to answer most of them. And where there were answers, they were limited to the most vague and evasive formulations.
🔜 However, something has become clear. For example, activism in this document is interpreted as activity against the law, and hidden meanings are attributed to publications and texts — it is enough to write that the information is supposedly “understandable to the addressee” or “recovered from subtext.”
Moreover, the authors of the “characteristics” claimed that individual phrases could “confirm or refute the facts.”
“But according to the law, only the court determines the facts. Not experts. This means that they went beyond their authority. Their “characteristic” cannot be considered evidence,” LGBT lawyer Max Olenichev¹.
The next hearing in the case is scheduled for April 27. We will continue to keep you updated on what is happening.
